A Chinese Tea master concocted a tea and presented it to the Earl of Grey, Charles Grey (Prime minister of the UK from 1830-834) Rumour has it that the Tea master offsetted the tea with Bergamot flavour to counter the hard English water in which the tea was made in. The Earl's wife liked it so much that she entertained with earl Grey exclusively.......Although Charles Grey abolished slavery and child labour but he is known through history as the man who introduced this heavenly flavoured concoction to the world.
