Planted on clay and limestone, the vines are grown in France on semi-hills of 350 metres east-west oriented. The harvests are made at optimum ripeness of the grapes for a better balance and better concentration of wine. The variety of grape includes 70% Grenache, 20% Carignan and 10% Cabernet Sauvignon. Selected and bottled by the Double family from the highly regarded Coteaux d'Aix estate Château de Beaupré.
Tasting Notes:
Baron Maxime Cote D'Aix en Provence Rosé is pressed quick and cold after harvesting and a fermentation will follow at low temperatures to try and maintain the rich fruity aroma. With a very clear and bright rosé hue, there is a refreshing fruit fragrance of raspberries and strawberries combined with sweet cinnamon and baker's yeast notes. Medium-bodied with a creamy soft texture, there is a soft and delicate impression on the palate created by the cabernet sauvignon tannins.
Pairing Notes:
Pairs well with a fresh garden wok, grilled chicken, tuna sashimi or a fresh goats cheese.
