This coffee liqueur has a lengthy journey to your glass: it uses coffee beans grown in Mexico, shipped to Denmark by distillers Heering, and then shipped on to the USA. There and elsewhere, it is one of the most popular of all the liqueurs. Its profile was helped by the invention of the 1950's Sombrero cocktail consisting of kahlua and milk, which established the trend for drinking Kahlua with cold milk.

‎Espresso Martini - 50ml Kahlua, 50ml Absolut Vodka, 50ml Espresso - Shake hard with ice and strain into a cocktail glass The Espresso Martini 1 Part Kahlúa 1 Part Absolut Vodka 1 Part Espresso Coffee It might sound complicated but it's just a matter of mixing booze with coffee. Shake the Kahlúa, Absolut Vodka and espresso together with plenty of ice. Strain into a cocktail glass to get rid of all the small ice chips. Tip: Shake for 10 seconds for optimal frothiness.
