In 1805, Madame Clicquot, a young widow of 27 years, took over the reins of the House founded in Reims in 1772 and became one of the first business women in history. Audacious and visionary, she made her champagne known to the world.
For over 200 years, the House has stayed true to its motto - Only one quality, the finest. It is the first house to have produced a Rosé Champagne; and launched a Vintage in 1810.
