Château Montaiguillon
In 1949 Abel Rigou, a wine producer and cognac distiller from St – Martin d’Ary purchased Montaiguillon . The chateau has been home for 4 generations, in this time the family have perfected the art of wine production and vine growing. Although the wine is produced with great precision (thermoregulation), it is still well grounded in tradition, as it matures for at least one year in their pristine oak barrels, which are renewed every three years. This process results in a powerful, delicate ad aromatic wine, which has earned great success and impeccable reputation. The chateau is a property of st George -Emilion. The neighbours with Cheval Blanc, VCC and Chateau Petrus who are just over the Barbanne stream. Th vineyard is at an outstanding position, this is noticeably clear when you taste merlot heavy Claret that comes from Chateau Montaiguillon. Mathieu Ternault is doing an excellent job, by taking over the reins of Chantelle who produced some of the excellent vintages.
